hi guys new to all this so may get a bit long winded,back in 2006 was taken to court by restons on behalf of hfc for debts i didn't go to court at the time as my life was a bit of a mess result being a attachment of earnings for 14 per week which was paid every week till april 2010 when employer went bust,was unemployed for 9 months then got job ,I phoned restons to arrange payments but was told debt had been returned to hfc ,shortly after got letter from hfc demanding outstanding debt or court action would be taken I rang hfc to tell them this had already been to court but they knew nothing about it shortly after got letter from lowells saying they had purchased debt from hfc demanding payment of outstanding balance 3k or would apply for statutory demand help needed please

Hi Bill,
So this is a debt you were given a CCJ for in 2006, which was enforced by attachment of earnings at £14 a week for four years.
In April 2010 you stopped paying as your employer went bust and you contacted Restons (who got the CCJ against you?) but they stated the debt had been passed back to HFC.
HFC are since then demanding payment or court action and seem to have forgotten they have a CCJ. The CCJ will have dropped off of you file now as they stay on for six years.
How much was the CCJ for do you recall ? (You may have paid around £2k with your AoE payments)
