    Re: aggressive Jacob enforcement agent

When you send in a Formal Complaint, copy the council CEO, the elected leader, your MP and local councillor in. If the Jacobs drone is daft enough to call whilst account on hold, use that in the complaint, also film him even with a mobile p[hone to capture threats etc he cannot stop you from filming his shenanigans no matter what drivel he spouts.

I am back from the meetings. The guy told me that I didn't need to bring all the evidence with me as they have already agreed to take the debt back. They gave us a direct number to call in case that bailiff is still pursuing us. They will take 3.50 pounds directly from my income support every fortnight.
I hope they will keep to their word.
I also received an email from my MP who told me that they are waiting also an update in regards to our complaints and issues with the council. I really hope it will be the last of it.
I have to bring my partner to the crisis team A&E as he is not well at all. IU hope they will be able to calm him down. I do not blame him at all !

Excellent response indeed from the meeting today and given that the amount of £3.50 is now to be deducted at source from your benefits you should now try to put this matter behind you and concentrate of the health of you and your partner.

Thank you for updating the thread.

Excellent, best possible result. If the Jacobs twonk calls again you have every right to call the police to remove him as any further visits would now be unlawful and amount to harassment, and would allow a Formal Complanit to be submitted on that head alone.

Nice to see common sense from a council.
Give all your efforts to looking after your partner and yourself now.

Best wishes good luck from me and I expect everyone on LB

In fact, if a visit is to be made by Jacobs then serious questions should be made about the LOCAL AUTHORTY. It is their duty to ensure that the account is returned. It is not Jacob's role at all.

The local authority has discretion to ask for an account to be returned. That discretion must include ensuring that they have advised the enforcement company to return the account.

That is my concern, that the LA fails to inform the EA, and they carry on regardless. Not an unusual situations in councils where departments exist in their own silo, and don't talk to each other.
