Hi Emmzy please try and stay calm as, easier said than done I know but you are certainly at the right place and should be able to help you. Remember priorities are always to your child first so try and keep calm. I've seen post about these guys before will try and see if I can find it.

Ive been digging around to see what I can find out and and came across this link referring to The Council Tax (Administration and Enforcement) Regulations 19921992 No. 613Table of Contents

          http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1.../contents/made

Hopefully someone can check the link and see if it would apply to your situation as it went over my head.

Take care and I hope you can get this sorted so as not to cause anymore stress. Xxxx

              Hi emmzy, don't fret.

For a start the bailiff can not force entry for Council tax arrears.

Bailifs can visit your property to enforce the Order between 6am and 9pm, Monday to Saturday.

The Bailiff from Rossendales is being disingenuos, by telling you he/she requires full payment, the guidelines are that for Council Tax a payment plan should be acceptable as long as the debt is paid in full over 12 months, that is the 12 months running from the date of the issue of the Liability Order.

Try to deal with the Council directly and bypass the bailiff, if the Council Offices are not too far, and you still have a relationship with such Council (they collect your current CT) visit in person and ask them to spread the arrears over this years alongside your current liability.
The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A mutation of the beast now comes black leather clad, riding a motorcycle that looks like a battenbergh cake on wheels.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.

It's a dirty job, but someone got to do it!

Remamber you don't have to let a bailiff in, if you don't have a car and he can't get in his options are limited. He m ay claim a levy on a random car near or outside your home but it would be a void laevy
