This would require me to be polite...

    OK - How about this?
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Please look at thread http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...ng-processions

    Summary:
    • a young mother of a one year old child is terrified that her furniture is to be taken by a rapacious bailiff
    • the bailiff company is Chandlers
    • the council is Swindon Borough Council
    • her partner works full time
    • she is a student
    • they owe nearly £2000 in Council Tax
    • she was pressurised into letting the bailiff into her home
    • the bailiff levied on worthless furniture and exempt items; this seems to have been done to garner levy fees
    • the levies may thus be invalid or improper or irregular
    • she was pressurised into signing walking possession agreements
    • she believes the bailiff will be back today to press for money she does not have or to take her stuff
    • she wants to pay off the debt but does not want to be left with no furniture or no money for food

The CEO of Chandlers is Mr Casey Waterman, tel: 020 8290 0866, email: casey.waterman@chandlers.ltd.uk

Haha very true indeed I just asked as I didn't know if one was like a leader of the central group.

Thank you for asking. I've never dealt or even knew we had councillors! I sound so dim haha! Lack of life experience

There are 3 central councillors all labour. Do I try email them all, stating my situation and asking for their help? I'm not sure I know what to ask.

Thanks I'll try find some details now, I can't ring yet as our phone has been cut off (been a hard month financially) so will see if I can email and arrange to get a appointment or try pop there.

Oh and clevercloggs it comes up as payment off our debt. So he wanted first payments upfronbt to set up the payment plans. He said he couldn't do their plans without it. But we could only do 1 £25 payment in cash there and then so he took that and told us to ring back to pay the others on the 15th of Feb.

Thank you ploddertom, you do think they know everything and seeing as he seemed so genuine and understanding I didn't think he was out to con us.

So, course of action.…do I speak to council, MP, CAB or chandler? Voicing my concerns?

I only came on here to see what would happen to my sofa, didn't think if been treated unfairly!

    Morning

So far no ones been around. Reading the replies I feel stupid, I really did believe he was trying to help, he was polite, non threatening and didn't rummage around the house like I thought he would. He didn't look much older than me and I thought he understood our predicament (I was a college student at the time getting no finance aid par child care help through the course and my partner working full time to keep us going). What a dumb a**e.

I do believe he rang the council as they asked we complete a income and expenses form which they did send (we never did and they didn't bother tracking it up)

I must prefer to think of them akin to prototists. invading the host and then trying to kill in waves.

Indeed Swindon does come from pig hill. We also have the first 'magic round about' bloody confusing and boasts to have people such as Billie piper, Melinda messenger and jahmene Douglas as famous people to come from our town........ Also many references to bring a poop place as well

Capita are akin to vermin, they infest and corrupt the host, they need to be wound up. It is strange is it not that where there idss a capita infestation, services appear to suffer, and bailiffs used more readily.

According to Wikipedia, the name Swindon is derived from the Anglo-Saxon "swine" and "dun", meaning "pig hill" or "hill of the pigs".

Swindon now seems to have a moderate Crapita infestation - link

Isn't it odd how so little has changed?

Agreed folks, the bailiffs whole ploy was a complete tissue of lies and misrepresentation, Time for that Formal Complaint to CEO, and get those councillors working.
