Wonder if the TCGA is HRA compliant?
I think this illustrates the extent to which organised crime has infiltrated local and central government. Legislation is being manipulated to legitimise what are, in essence, criminal acts. The Tories are well-known for changing laws to make them fit the law-breaking of themselves and their puppet masters.

I believe there is a Common Law offence of Treason which Blair neglected to repeal. I also believe successive governments' failure to hold referenda on the various EU Treaties amounts to Treason and steamrollering them through without consulting the people, except after signing them, amounts to the same. I would never be surprised to see Blair, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld face the International War Crimes Tribunal (IWCT) over the Gulf Wars.

Well look what we have here, perhaps the grinning Bliar will enjoy the comforts of a cell at The Hague

I have a strong feeling any investigation will not stop at the likes of Geoff "Buff" Hoon and other politicians. If my gut-feeling is right, it will delve into the arms industry and the City of London and it will show the Square Mile is the centre of an international criminal network and cabal that has hidden itself well within the financial services industry up to now, but will be exposed in all its ugliness and the evil it stands for as the investigation progresses. The headline on the front of yesterday's The Independent is, I suspect, a taste of what is to come. There will be further revelations as the extent of the infiltration of organised crime into public services and government becomes apparent, but it is something that has to happen in order for us to understand what has happened and what lessons we need to learn in order to ensure it is never allowed to happen again.

              Evening guys!

Not much has happened here. Still no new or a email from Simon with contact details or breakdown of costs.

One of my local councillors has emailed for a update though which is nice. I've let him know what I've told you and my determination about chandlers.

Hope your all having a good evening

Simon may have decided that it would be wiser not to reply even though he might be thought to be a rogue, than to reply and thereby remove all doubts.

Sounds like he or she is worried the council officers and Chandlers are going to drop them and the other councillors well and truly in the proverbial. I can understand that and sympathise with them. However, they have to realise that they are responsible for what the council officers do and, ultimately, have to accept responsibility for any wrongdoings on the part of the council.

Well I will be chasing him up (one of the councillors gave his last name so no wiggling out of mistaken identity)

But I'm a fair person and will give him till Wednesday/Thursday before I contact him for his details etc..... Would be rather annoying having to chase people.
                    Oh well.

Oh dear..... Well hopefully it's that they are genuinely interest in the progress.... Hopefully it's not me being naive again haha.

I have made them aware of the fact we're still waiting for contract from the council guy. So we'll see if we get a reply by Wednesday/Thursday :P

Our councillors have to take the issues involved seriously, Michelle. Things have been allowed to drift for too long. They have to get back in control of what is going on, otherwise they will find they will have lost control completely. I sincerely hope that the councillors in your case are able to regain control and stop what is clearly a criminal situation getting any worse.

Chelle, elected members can find themselves personally liable if they allow unlawful actions by officers to act in a reckless criminal or unlawful manner, and do not stop them.

                            I hope so too.

Funnily enough, I confided in my friend earlier about the situation and the in goings and she just laughed and said that she had the Same issue with chandler. In fact they came to take her car (after it being on the WPA) and they refused to take it when the bailiff came... But she sorted it now and I got a big telling off indeed haha!

So of course you told her to write to them for a breakdown of fees?
