    Re: DLC debt collectors

If harassment is having a detrimental effect on a person's health, regardless of whoever it is who is behind the harassment and whatever their justification, a cease and desist notice, followed by an injunction, is in order. Breaching an injunction is a criminal offence, carrying a fine, imprisonment or both. Judges do not like bullying.

Would a judge seriously try to jail an officer from HMRC or the DCA for contempt when they ignore the injunction because they are HMRC,and think they have Crown Immunity still?

Only if they're a silly old fart.

If it's an injunction under Section 3 of PfHA, they won't get jailed for contempt, which only carries a maximum sentence of six months imprisonment.

        Under PfHA, it is -

£20,000 fine, or six months' imprisonment or both (maximum on summary conviction); or
Unlimited fine, or five years' imprisonment or both (maximum on conviction on indictment)

and it's for breaching the injunction, not contempt.
