Re: REALLY need help with collectica

Ring the telephone number I have posted and ask them for the correct email address. Email appears to be the most practical and suitable way of dealing with the SEMs.

It is not an offence merely to own a TV receiver without a licence, nor does one need a TV licence to access the 'net.

It is an offence to use a TV set or other equipment to receive live, broadcast transmissions but, as your set was somewhat buggered, you could not do that.

To have obtained a conviction, the TV goon would have needed to state an untruth in evidence.
Which can either amount to Perjury or Perverting the Course of Justice. But then Capita employees working as TVL have form for that, haven't they, Cloggy? Perhaps Capita should be forensically audited in the same way as Serco and G4S are, along with ATOS and those companies who are propping up a creaking and corrupt Work Programme for the DWP.

Crapita goons aka TVL Inspectors have form for gaining convictions for no TV License for people who don't own a TV.....

It's called Perverting the Course of Justice, BB, which is why some of them are currently serving prison sentences or community punishment orders. The powers that be should really be targeting and prosecuting Capita's managements as well as the foot soldiers.

Sadly they won't and people like the OP are cannon fodder to these scumbags, as in an easy source of beer tokens.

Oh, I wouldn't be too hasty, BB. I wouldn't mind betting this scandal involving G4S and Serco is going to change the way the politicians view letting the private sector run public services. The electorate are likely to start asking questions as to why stops and checks weren't in place and are further privatisations plan now going to be abandoned. Any politician who thinks they can still plough ahead, regardless, is either a fool or needs to seriously consider standing down as an MP.

I will only believe things are on the up, when Crapita executives, CEO and board are in jail where they belong, along with the crowd from Serco and G4s

Be careful what you wish for, BB. It might come true. If the SFO are involved, they will want answers and will not stand for any nonsense from interviewees or their legal representatives. Seriously scary people, only topped by HMRC's Corporate Investigation Team.
