I intend to do the above starting with HMRC and will start this process from Monday.

Anything else to add at this stage?
As they are a storage facility, they (Trojan) may need to be on the ICO Register.

    & guess what?

        Cornish Pasty,

Is this the bailiff that visited you?

        https://www.facebook.com/Destroy.meredith1/photos

He's a Troy under Diana McCauliffe's friends. Although his surname here is Meredith, not McCauliffe, it's a very unusual first name.

So Danielle McAuliffe linked to Michele Fenner (Director of Newlyn PLC), is the same Danielle McAuliffe as appears in Facebook HERE as you can see from the photos.

One of her friends is Diana McAuliffe, owner of Trojan Recovery and Storage (formerly Ltd). Another of Danielle McAuliffe's friends is Matthew McCarthy.

Matthew McCarthy is the son of Debbie McCarthy and Kevin Charles McCarthy. Both are Directors of Newlyn PLC and Kevin was the founder of it.

The friends pages of the McCarthy's and the McAuliffe's are full of each others names. It is too much of a coincidence, they must be related somewhere, and I suspect Michele Fenner was nee McCarthy or McAuliffe.

So Newlyns are, IMO, allegedly using one of their own family's businesses to produce false invoices for Van Attendance fees from a recently dissolved company, now trading as non-limited. That company charges VAT, but is not VAT registered apparently, according to its invoices. That is VERY naughty indeed.

Who would like to bet that if we searched all the McAuliffe's and McCarthy's on Facebook friends above, we'd find Troy McCauliffe, registered bailiff, as well.

I wonder what the name of the bailiff who visited Cornish Pasty was?
Bingo Indeed. Great work. From what you have uncovered that is pretty definitive I would say. Way to much of a coincidence for it not to be true. Also I would like to mention that I am pretty damn sure it was one of the Mccarthys that signed the cheque that I have received from Newlyn..which has been signed by two people. It is for a VERY small amount compared to the total I have paid.

Unlawful activities, illegal trading practices perhaps, smelly farts, bullsh!t, newlyn then may well be not what they seem.

Yes, but that's just Newlyn plc.

"Trojan Removals and Storage" is not on the Register.

                  Can't see them as a T/A either.

If one searches for "trojan recovery and storage -limited", one gets precisely nothing.

It would appear, therefore, that the company simply does not exist.

The address is a typical 4 bedroom, semi-detached, freehold brick box with a pantiled roof of the sort built throughout the 1930s.

                      Re: Car clamped by newlyn,

Cloggy, Charity and Labman have certainly come up with some very interesting facts about Newlyns, its management and "Trojan". And those facts, on the face of it, look pretty damning.

I wonder how CCC will react when the reality about their contracted enforcement agent smacks them in the face?

Let's see if any further information surfaces. TBH, I can see the OP having to speak to certain law enforcement and regulatory agencies about this matter. I wonder how CCC will react when the reality about their contracted enforcement agent smacks them in the face?
They will either back Newlyn up as being paragons of virtue, and go down with them, or maybe terminate the contract forthwith. My gut instinct favours the first option.

If they backed Newlyns in the face of clear evidence of wrongdoing, especially in view of what is now emerging, thanks to Charity, Clever Clogs and Labman, they would be very ill-advised, indeed, to do so. However, if they are foolish enough to back Newlyns, then it would be very interesting to see what the fallout was like, not just for CCC, but for other local authorities who use them and the civil enforcement industry.

                                Michael,

Before taking your enquiry to HMRC or any other body you will need to to consider a LOT of further information.

Firstly, before I forget, do you know the name of the bailiff involved in your complaint? Did you request a copy of the SCREEN SHOT of your account. This is the electronic computer record of your case and you really should request this.

In order to keep confusion to a limit I will start a new post in a few moments.

PS: I had also missed the amateur attempt at arithmetic when adding the VAT fee of £18 to the van fee of £90. Well spotted.
