It's not exactly difficult to wind him up, is it?

(Be sure to quote all of this in your reply...)

Stop patronising me and actually look at at least one of his videos, and read the comments beneath:

(by the way, I am not ferranerazzi)

If you can't be bothered to do that, then don't comment!

The bottom line of all of this is .....

If you don't want a parking ticket don't park in the wrong place

I totally agree. However he believes they're in the wrong to even issue tickets for parking on public property when there's no hazard. He parks without paying because he believes the land belongs to him (as well as everyone else) because of what he's read about common law and the bill of rights.

Then he's a fool, and there's a lot of them about who think they can flout the law and get away with it.

Well...that's gratitude for you.....only pointing out the glaringly obvious and I get berated by a cheeky whippersnapper.msl: I consider myself suitably chastised........whipped to within an inch of my life:whip:

May i ask how this FOTL infection has swept across the land

It goes against everything i have studied, I have looked into it and it is based on no logical fact or established common or civil law

His opinions are his own which i respect , but i think anyone who follows this doctrine will find their ivory towers will come crashing down

I'm not 100% sure he has used the phrase "freeman of the land" but he says he's studied common law and the bill of rights.

watched the video isnt it the same one at the beginning of this thread thought this one was better , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XTb3s1T_SU

I don't agree, many of his arguments are quite factual, his understanding of contract law seems to be sound, it just doesn't apply the way he thinks it does under the circumstances he is quoting.

However he is entitled to his opinion and actually seems like a reasonable kind of bloke IMO.

TorquayTalkey ...google them,,they post videos about 'FMOL' basically,,they object to everything,,get evictions etc delayed but the end result is always the same,,they just delay the inevitable.

lets dispell some of the myths quoted

He is quite right that only a court of law can impose financial penalties under the law. Again 1689, Bill of Rights, UnCodified legislation and the English constitution.

Where i believe he slips up is where we now have civil penalties, not fines, but derived from primary legislation. Secondary or delegated legislation imposes this civil penalty. A bye law for dropping a cigarette end allows the council to impose a civil penalty, not sending in your self assessment tax form gives a civil penalty. Even the police can give one for drunken disorder.

All civil penalties have an appeal service.

I think people do need to do a bit more study and not rely on this FOTL to escape your obligations

When you read the website and watch the TV clip they have on there , some people do swear by it for getting out of debt. However my suspicion is that the creditors know it is unenforceable or the debtor hasn't got to pennies to rub together so off it goes round the houses to another DCA then another then another . I didn't read of anyone actually getting any money out of them
However never knock a good conspiracy theory

I've just been talking to him in the comments of this video, take a look at what he says and tell me what you think http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntxu1nwP8m8

By the way, he might delete most of it like he did last time, so the comments might not be up there for long.

And to any wiseacres who just want to take the piss, just eff off and don't comment here. (apologies to those who think I'm using bad language, but we're adults here, aren't we?) If you find this thread boring now, don't read it!
