As I stated, it is a privilege to be able to help...

Somehow, it sort of makes my late mother's labour pains worthwhile.

He won't, unless you had previously allowed him "peaceable entry", as he is not allowed to force his way in.

Keep your doors and windows locked, and draw the curtains to remove the temptation for the oaf to make an unlawful, "constructive levy".

If you have a motor-car or other vehicle, hide it in a locked garage.

Based on my tenancy contract I am a single occupier and I have filled out the single occupancy reduction form and submitted several times. I am also working as an intern here with a minimal salary. I still haven't even lived here for 12 months (its almost 7 months) how can it be that expensive based on council website its £1102 annually without any reduction.
Unfortunately, if you miss payments and do not respond to the first reminder letter, the whole year of Council Tax becomes payable at once. That seems to be what has happened here, with the added complication that the oaf from Bristols and Hooters has improperly added a "van fee" (and probably other invented fees) to the debt.

Please advise me on what to do and I am really vulnerable here. Really appreciated your quick response and your help and advise on this. I kept all the proof if required (council letter, my tenancy agreement and also my payslip) they are coming to visit on Wednesday again. what should I do please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do not even try to negotiate with the bailiff, as bailiffs are inherently untrustworthy and permanently disingenuous.

Go to your local council advice centre or Welfare Rights Centre, as the council seems to have well and truly screwed up; not only should you have the 25% reduction for single occupancy, your pitiful level of remuneration should also qualify you for some Council Tax Relief, depending on how your council has decided to pay it.

            Re: Bristow & Sutor

Thanks alot for your quick response. I have already emailed my council office and explained the situation but they haven't got back to me yet. and for the added cost this is the first time they visited my house (I didnt open the door) and they have added £18 based on their letter and no other cost should have occurred besides that. is there any other cost that i am not aware of? really appreciate your help
