They didn't forget - we're just anti-bailiff here, so keep their fees to a minimum! lol

Rwy'n optimisitc mae Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru yn mynd i ailgyflwyno'r tarring gyfreithlon ac yn pluo o feilļaid, neu artaith dŵr Tsieineaidd, neu binio i lawr ar egin bambŵ fel eu bod yn tyfu i fyny trwyddynt.

Re: Advice needed, council tax/Stanford and Green

              Update to this..

I've now managed to get the council to take back the debt and they are going to be adding it to this years and taking £190 a month, bit more than I'd like but it should be manageable.

However I'd still like to make a complaint about the bailiffs, I spoke to the woman at the council who told me the outstanding balance was £1022.69 this is from an original figure of £1360 (including court/costs)

              I had paid £380 to the bailiffs so £1360 - £380 = £980

              £980 + Bailiff fees of £42.50 = £1022

So the maths works out about right, however, those payments were all made last year, so the bailiffs fees were obviously taken out of those payments, but on two occasions since those payments were made (and the fees obviously taken) they tried to charge me again for them. I didnt pay the bailiffs a penny more but it just makes me angry that they tried to charge the same fees on another two occasions.

Can I still go ahead with a complaint about this, if so how should I go about it?

Stanford and Green chimp that replies to emails just said that any complaint I make has to go to Mr Stanford or Mr Green but judging from what I've read on this and other forums they are just as useless when dealing with people.

I've asked the woman at the council for details of their complaints procedure but recieved and out of office reply saying shes not around til next monday.

Also, I'm sure the last bailiff to visit my house was leaning on the door expecting to pull off a threshold move, I didnt answer the door but have noticed the door is cracked from where he was leaning on it.

Then he may be guilty of having committed criminal damage.

I'm not sure what complaint you want to make. It appears that the account has been handed back to the Council and you were only charged for 1st & 2nd Visit Charges and no others. Any future charges the Baiiff had tried have been dropped & forgotten about.

Does that excuse the bailiff having sought those "charges"?

I'm not sure either to be honest, just want to cause them some hassle as they are such a bunch of cowboys, surely putting those charges on again (or trying to - twice) is trying to obtain money by deception or something?

I now have proof that they have had that money and then tried to charge me for it again.

I suppose I should just let it drop, but feel like I should kick up about it as I very nearly got someone to pay it off for me the first time, if I had they would have got those fees twice and I may not have noticed..

If you were to complain on that basis they are going to ask what was actually charged and when told just the visit fees fees your complaint will be dismissed without a second glance.

Never mind that, what "fees" were demanded?

                              Levy fee £53.25
