Re: philips
Has the bailiff been into your house?
You need to read and understand this Bailiff Guide - Legal Beagles Consumer Forum and you need to pay attention particularly to the part entitled Magistrates' Fines.

Like Amy says, this is a priority debt, but with the help of this site it's nothing to be afraid of, just follow the advice, and when you post try and be as clear and precise as you can be. I know from experience that that's difficult as you know in your head what you mean and think everyone is as up to date as you.
I wish you well and I'm sure you'll soon be posting to add your experience and help somebody else. x

If you have a car I would advise you move it well away from your home in case they try and put a levy on it.

Re: philips
i had a conversation with them today my £10 a wk offer was declined so got to make my voluntary payments and see what happens
Please forgive my interruption here but having made a reasonable offer to them and their declining said reasonable offer..does that not constitute a declination of payment?...And give them no further recourse to legal action? in other words they would be laughed out of court for refusing to accept a reasonable payment...
