Also, I have told lodger that I want him to find somewhere else to live now (as this isn't first time people have come about his debts but was dca last time and they were very helpful when I spoke to them - outside in the street of course !!) but I gave them his mobile number and where he works and they said they wouldn't gain access to house as it was mine along with the stuff in it!
Equita are proving to be a completely different kettle of fish entirely which is why I am getting so worried. So I guess another question is will they still try to access house if he no longer lives there and what do I need to do to prove this?

The DCA was not just being nice about it, he has no powers to enter your property and even if he did, it wouldn't matter as only a bailiff can levy belongings. A DCA would know this full well.

Re Stat Dec, does anyone know if I can just walk into a Solicitors or does it need to be one who knows me or do they need to come and see if my listing of property is correct or anything (sorry again not done anything like this before) I don't actually have or know solicitors so do I just google/yellow pages one and is there a special thing I should look for ??

Yes, you just make an appointment at a solicitors and swear an oath. I suggest you do this sooner rather than later incase they choose to levy on the garden shed contents.

Thank you again - I will try to make appointment for tomorrow. Lodger says bailiff's on holiday until 25th and that they are happy about waiting until then for the payment (but somehow I don't believe him - especially after them telling me yesterday action was imminent).

It just gets better - he's had another thing from council today regarding an overpayment of housing benefit he's still not paid back (from about 3 years ago)

Think I will just go and have a meltdown in the corner!!!
