We have tonight had bailiff at our door for our old house council tax bill we didn't answer the door and put a letter through saying they would be coming back to remove goods because they have a liebilty order he said we didn't have to be in to gain entry and take what ever we have to falue can they do that

There are certain things they can do, but if you are 'vulnerable', there are things they can't do.

If you are 'vulnerable' what you can do is email the following letter to the bailiffs and the Creditor.
If you have evidence, i.e. doctors letter etc, that would help.
Ask the bailiff (email a copy to the Council, but find someone at the Council who you can email it to)
to return the debt to the Creditor in your case the Council.
