Hi
This is not the first time this has happened to people with regard to DLA being stopped and a continuation of ESA. Have you tried contacting your MP to intervene on your behalf. While I can't promise it will help, I know of one case where an intervention of an MP led to the write off of over £1000 by the DWP.

You could also try sending a SAR to the DWP (I know that they don't charge for this from experience) asking for all the information they hold on you ~ you never know they might remember that you'd told them of the DLA change previously and amend their records xxDebt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.

You might also want to have a look at these two forums ~
WELFARE CENTRAL
and,
RESPECTFUL BENEFITS
where I know that you will get lots of help and advice from people who are (or were) claiming a variety of benefits, and know how to deal with the DWP xxDebt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.

Re: fed up and want to fight back but no one is lsitening
MPs have a protocol, for example if you want to raise a query with a minister you need to go through your MP. Some are better than others and although it galls me to say, this particular MP is good, even if he is a Tory.
Not all MPs just want to climb the slippery poll and not all MPs are Machiavellian

My (even if he is Labour ) MP was fabulous when I got into problems with my benefits... if that helps at all. It's worth a letter or a visit to a surgery if you're at your wits end with everything else.#staysafestayhome

Re: fed up and want to fight back but no one is lsitening
You, as a voter, have put your MP in that job so you matter to them. Many MPs just need a gentle reminder from time to time just who employs them and pays their salary so do not be afraid to get them to work for you.
Never, ever assume this is as good as it gets! You are not homeless now and you may not be next year. Many people worry themselves to death worrying about things that may never happen.
It is not possible to stop awful things happening in our lives but it is often up to us whether we become victims or fighters. Even when we lose there is a certain satisfaction knowing we fought back.
Have a good look through old posts on here with the same issue as Kati has suggested above and start hassling anyone who can help including your MP. You have nothing to lose buy asking. Whenever you feel this is getting you down have a browse through the forums and start plotting. Browsing this site is also good way of discovering that people have come back from much more dire situations.
An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good'!
