  • Robinson Way -reduced offer

Hi, ive just received a letter chasing a Barclaycard debt of £1000 but offering a reduced payment of £366.51. Shall i agree to this? I have to contact them by the 20th May if I am to accept. Anyone else been in this position before who would be kind enough to advise? Thanks in advance

Is this a debt now owned by Hoist portfolio and is it Robinson Way's first contact with you?

What does it say will happen if you don't respond by 20th May? Any mention of Howard Cohen solicitors?

Depending on your answers you may consider sending a s. 77-79 CCA Request to throw a spanner in the works, but not if you've previously sent one and it's not been complied with.

A friend received one from a Debt Purchase Co. ...........a Particularly Ruddy Awful one.

Circa £1500, but they would accept £150 for quick settlement.

They would probably still have made a profit on it

If you've received lots of letters from Robinson Way which you have ignored then I would think a court claim is likely.

My suggestion was to send a s. 77-79 CCA Request. Here is this forum's link > http://legalbeagles.info/forums/show...=7670#post7670

There's no knowing whether they'll withdraw their offer or not as a result. You need a psychic to answer that question not a lawyer

How old is this Barclaycard (what year did you open the account) and was it a Barclaycard from the beginning or could it have been an Egg or MSDW or a Monument etc?
