    Hello my grandson is with Santander he has logged into his account and found that he was £1.47 short of a payment so no he owes them £93 is they anything he can do i was going to put some money in but he says no can anyone advise please they have charged £25 per day x

    Is he under 18?
    Was this a first occasion and did he pay in the money as soon as he realised it was over?
    Is this the first time?

    I would probably argue that if this was his first time and that it was a small amount that the charge is disproportionate to the offence and whether they would consider refunding the charges as a gesture of goodwill.
    Alternatively, if you have a substantial amount of money with Santander simply argue you'd take your money elsewhere(strangely enough this argument could also work ).

      He is 26 years old so should have had more sense they would not do anything it was actually £95 i have paid it as they said it was they standard monthly charge wish he would learn, silly money for £1.47
