  • Scoffolding on my Property (Scotland)

I live in a ground floor flat (5 Floors) and have a terrace garden area. (the block is approximate 10 years old)

I received a letter last year from the factor saying that the 5th floor balcony’s required work and they would be required to scaffolding on my terrace, they went on to explain that the work would take up to 6 weeks and after the completion on the works they would replace the decking on my property free of charge.

This was supposed to start in November and at that time I thought fine at least it’ll be finished well before the summer.
It is now March and still the works hasn’t started and I have been email the factor and as I don’t want to have works going on in the summer months as it would cover my whole terrace and I would not be able go outside in my own property.
Can I choose when they are to have access to my property? And should I be getting any compensation?
