  • Restons / Arrow Global v thunderbird1 about orange mobile

We act on behalf of Arrow Global Limited wo has refered your account to us for legal action. This means that we are instructed to take legal action against you.

They are chasing for £500 for a mobile contract. I split with my wife at the time and it was her phone although it was in my name. The last payment I made was oct 2010 my ex wife wouldn't have paid anything, the default according to Noddle was aug 2011.

It was a £25 a month contract so where £500 came from i don't know. They also have my work address at the time on the credit file (Guessing it was delivered there).

Where do i go from here? Telecoms not covered by CCA so cant sent that template. I think it is stat barred but dont want to risk asking for proof just in case it makes them go for the court action.

    Cheers all

Was the phone contract cancelled at any point ?
Was the contract for a specific period as far as you know ?
Do you recall when the phone contract was started ?
Did your wife stop using the phone in / before Oct 2010 ?

It might be worth calling Orange ( are they T-mobile now? not sure) and asking about the contract, when it started/ended etc - they may not have any details as it was so long ago, but it won't affect anything with Lowell if you speak to Orange to try find out a bit more info. If they can't help on the phone you could send a subject access request to them to get full details of anything held about you (and this contract)

Spoke to Orange who said they dont hold any information on this as debt has been sold and is over 6 years old. Do i write a letter to Restons asking for them to proove it?
