Hi
I'm new to this so please bare with me. I have today received a County Court Business Centre Claim Form which I am wondering whether it is legit or not. I have not responded to any debt collectors in over 6 years and they have been passed backwards and forwards to many. I'm not sure what to do about this. I can't even remember what the original debt was but is now with this claim form £643.36 which I didn't feel is even worth their while to put forward. I would appreciate any advice please

Do you recall when you last made a payment ? Before 2010? You can plead that the claim is statute barred as part/all of your defence if so.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm sure I hadn't made any payments for 6 years but cannot be 100% sure. I'm worried that it may be coming to the 6 year mark that's why they are doing this. is there a way of finding out when I last made a payment? And I assume this form is legit and I will have to respond
