  • Is my pyament correct from axa

    hI can someone help me as not sure two chqs are correct they sent me 2 chqs as follows

    PPI owed was £419.37
    card started 30/11/1996
    ended 13/8/2005
    total offered is £870.75 i do have original agreements if that would help

    the other was
    PPI owed was £42.18
    card started 5/4/1997
    ended 13/8/2005
    total offered £108.37

    please can anyone help would be appreciated

    As the PPI was on cards it was paid as a small amount each month depending on your card balance. The 8% per year interest is calculated from the date you paid each amount. Both offers seem okay even had the PPI been paid in a lump sum at the date of inception of the card ( ie if you just put a straight 8% per year on it actually works out less than the offers are for)
