    Re: Welcome v2008

Hi and thank you for welcoming me.
I am not very hot on using forums and navigating new sites but I'll give it a go. I wanted to find out abit more about how to reclaim bank charges as I have accumulated a lot over the last 6 years banking with scAbbey!!! They fobbed me off last year, just before the test case started and I am now at a loss on whether to write to them again and put a claim in court. I am in serious debt and as a result of my money problems I started suffering from serious depression. I keep on getting bank charges every month ( snowball effect from 1999!!!). Any help/suggestions would be well appreciated.

Hi V and welcome to the site.

If you want to make a post in the debt forum with a bit more info on the problems you are facing we can have a look if you might have a shot at getting through on hardship, otherwise its looking like its going to be July before things kick off again re reclaiming. Otherwise have a look at the other debts and see if theres anything you can do for now make things run a bit easier.

Also are you still using that same account ?

Have a read about and if you need any pointers shout in here

          Re: Welcome v2008

          Hi

Thank you I will check the debt forums. I don't think my bank will consider refunding charges on a hardship basis. I have not closed my account yet but I have opened another account with Halifax and will get my salary paid into it. I will be incurring charges again at the end of this month from Abbey but these will obviously not be deducted from my wages and I will need to arrange paying them back in installments

          Thanks again.
