  • Lowell Group CCJ

    Hello all,
This is my first post so be gentle

I had a letter from the Lowell Group regarding an outstanding debt. they asked me to make a suggestion of what I can afford to pay each month.

I replied with what I could afford. I have now received a letter from them saying that the took my suggestion as admittance of guilt and that I now have a CCJ and that I should proceed to pay what I suggested.

this seems very under hand to me that they can ask me for a suggestion of payment and use that you get a CCJ against my name.

So my question to you is are they allowed to do this?

    thanks

And if so which came first, the claim form or your offer to pay in response to their letter?

        Good morning, welcome to LB.

An offer or payment is an admission of liability.

Was the letter from one of the Lowell companies e.g. Lowell Portfolio or portfolio 1, or was it from Lowell solicitors based in Northampton?

Did you receive a claim pack from the Northampton County Court Business Centre?
Can we see a copy of Lowell's letter please or can you type the content word for word here?
