  • Set aside CCJ on Credit Reports

    Hi guys,

What's the best way to get a set aside CCJ removed from my credit reports with Experian/Equifax/Call Credit in the quickest possible way.

Experian are claiming I need to send them a 'Set Aside Certificate,' the case was set aside on Friday but am yet to receive anything in formal writing from the court, but know that it is fairly soon after the case anyway.

Any guidance you have would be much appreciated with the view to getting this off of my records asap.

    Cheers!

Well done on getting the set aside agreed.

It does usually happen automatically, it's not really an Experian/Equifax thing it's the Register of Judgments and when it is removed from there it will be removed from the credit files ( as they pick it up off the register)

However when you get the order from the court confirming the set aside it won't hurt to sent that to Experian.

Best bet is to ring the court ask them how long it takes to come off the register - I think last time it was about 3 weeks.

The Court has to notify Registry Trust and depending where the "run" is it could take up to 6 weeks to filter all the way down to the Credit Ref agancies. Just a case of being patient. Is your Set Aside just an interim order pending a full hearing?
