  • Abbey Solicitors

Has any body else had dealing with these, not sure if they are a scam. Was referred to them by my debt agency that has now gone under. My debt people say they haven't had any correspondence from them since April. Not sure what to do. .

    Re: Abbey Solicitors

Hi there, There are quite a few people on the forum who were with Compass previously who are in liquidation now... presumably you are in the same boat as them - I'll get a link shortly if you don't find the threads. There's a fair bit of info about Abbey on there too. Have you spoken with your creditors ( thinking that's who you mean by 'debt people' ) since 'engaging' Abbey Solicitors ? The correspondance creditors received in April - was it a CCA request ( for copy of credit agreement) ?

What were Abbey Solicitors going to do for you and how much are they charging you ? ( same as you were paying to compass over 1 year ?)

        Re: Abbey Solicitors

Thanks for the links not really good in unstanding legal things. Yes I am paying the same amount to Abbey as I was to compass. Sent emails but don't seem to answer them. I've been told by Abbey not to keep calling but to send any letters I receive from my creditors. Don't have any spare cash to pay anything to my creditors but really don't want to fall to far behind and end up going to court. Was thinking of going to CAB to get their take on this.
