  • Help with a fridge please

    Hello,
I would like some advice please.
On the 28th April 2015, I had a fridge delivered. The fridge was bought from littlewoods for £500. It is a swan undercounter retro fridge. It was fully paid for.
At the end of February 2016, I noticed the fridge was warm, food was going bad quite quickly and it seemed to be icing up. This fridge has no freezer
i contacted littlewoods, over and over and over again.
I have had 2 engineers out who said I would be lucky to have it fixed and went away saying it needed parts.
I have kept all communication via email/private message/chat transcript etc
2 and a half weeks ago I had quite a big operation. Not planned. Today I chased littlewoods again as I have had no working fridge now for nearly 3 months. It's costing a fortune
they have replied and told me they are not doing anything as they have no knowledge of my complaint
i have told them I have copies of all correspondence. They asked that I send it again.
I did. They then ask I email again. I do and that is the continuous loop I have been on since March
I am not accepting this. But I want to make sure I do everything properly.
Can you help me please? Can you advise what to do next? I believe I must send a letter before action?
Thank you for any help given.

    Hi and welcome.
First try a complaint to their CEO

It often works better than court and is certainly less stressful.

Re: Help with a fridge please

Looks like they have stretched this out thinking they can fob you off with the 'It's out of warranty' line. They may also tell you to get on to the manufacturer. Wrong
Found this article as it does explain things http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...e-expires.html but stick to your guns if the letter to the CEO fails

Re: Help with a fridge please

                Well I have an update.
I have resent every single email/chat etc..and said I am prepared to take it further. They have now replied with - oh yes, we can see you did report it!
i have an engineer coming to look at it today. He won't be fixing it but he will look at it. This is the third time an engineer has looked at it.
They have also offered me £20 credit when I will not be using them again. However, I have had no fridge since February and it's cost more than £20 to shop daily etc..
I really am not happy with the above but I'm not sure what to say to them as I do not wish to appear greedy. Any advice?
                thank you

Re: Help with a fridge please

Am not too sure paying £500 for a white elephant would be classed classed as greed.
All you want is what you paid for, to do what it supposed to do.
Did you email Mr Dixon or are you still dealing with customer services?
