  • A big hello from the CCCS

    Hi there everyone,

My name is CCCS_Matthew and I work as a Debt Counsellor for the debt advice charity Consumer Credit Counselling Service. Many of you on here will probably be already aware who we are and the services we provide, but I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.

CCCS is a registered charity, and there is no charge whatsoever for any of the services we provide. We take great pride in offering first class help and advice. While we are aware that there are already many people here that give good debt advice, my colleagues and I, aim to be a welcome addition to the site by giving professional debt advice.

We will try and provide as much advice as possible on this forum, however in some cases it maybe beneficial for you to get in contact with CCCS directly, so we can give you more detailed advice. Feel free to take a look at our website www.cccs.co.uk; otherwise I will be happy to answer any queries.

Matthew, can you explain more about what you do, for example, if I ring you up with what to me may seem insurmountable debts what is the process that you go through with me over the phone? Is bankruptcy a solution that you would go through?

            Welcome Matthew

My partner is registered with you and so I am fully aware of the good work that you have done for her.

At Legal Beagles we are very keen to work in partnership with other organisations, whether to attract new members, to identify other agencies better qualified to give specific advice/support to our members, or to work directly with us on service provision and other initiatives.

With the drop in progress on bank charge claims since July and the credit crunch, we are seeing different requests for support coming from members. Accordingly, we are trying to increase both our capacity and our range of support services, in order to provide the best help available in the shortest time.

If you have any specific questions please let us know. I expect that the site management team will be in contact with you shortly anyway. We believe that Legal Beagles has a different approach than other consumer forums and I hope that you find your way around the site easily.

            Welcome aboard.

                Hello Matthew

                Welcome to Legal Beagles.

As you have probably seen we have direct links to CCCS on our main forum page. This reflects our high opinion and faith in the work of CCCS.

We would be delighted if you can offer further support to our members.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

                        Hi Froggy,

There are two ways in which we can offer a counselling session. One is an appointment over the telephone as you have already mentioned, and the other is over an online advice facility called Debt Remedy

Both involve looking at what income you have coming in, followed by what we called priority expendiure. Finally we would look at all of the debts you have in order to look at your options.

The advice we give is free and impartial, and we would always look at all of the solutions for you to get debt free, including bankruptcy.

                        I hope this helps

Hi Matthew, its really great to have you here, I have a number of questions I would like to ask you but i will pm you in the first instance. Just general CCCS policy stuff not individual case related.

Have a read about some of our members cases on here and if you have anything you feel you can input please feel free.

I personally use CCCS for a DMP on a number of my debts and have found them brilliant in most respects, and a bit lacking in others.

Expect a PM shortly if you don't mind.

                          Ame

Hi Matthew and welcome to Leagle Beagles. Thanks for offering you expertise on this site.

You may have noticed I posted about you today (sorry, I'd never heard of you till then). Would your organisation routinely try to stop interest on credit cards if the IE sheet showed more expenditure than income? If they do, and the company refuses, would they just accept that or fight it? Sorry to put you on the spot like this, but it's a pertinant issue for us at the moment.
