  • Re: Advice needed urgently please - legal matter

I am going to. I have contacted them yesterday. My solicitor is going to assist because if there is a criminal investigation, he is going to arrange for me to have a voluntary interview with them. Then it's over and done with and I can start to hopefully move on with my life. Who does this In front of children!

That is good to hear. You just have to take the bull by the horns and deal with it now. Please keep us updated how you get on.

You do not need a solicitor unless the police are accusing you of something, ie at police station. I would look to suing the school vicariously if this imbecilic minded person (staff member) doesn't stop harassing you. The school simply owe you a duty of care to ensure that your workplace is safe for you to work in.

You should be able to obtain CCTV evidence from the school.

She no longer works for the school.
she is very clever and did it in one of the spots there isn't any CCTV, it was literally just under the camera. However, there are 2 other witnesses who have asked me how j am. I have asked them to speak to the school and I have given the head their names for witness statements.
She kept saying the police are coming for statements. They have your messages. I have looked at all my messages, now either I'm off my head but there isn't anything I can see that is incrimanting. Yes there is something about a lost cheque due to my human error and I think the cheque book needs to be kept back in the safe. I can't see that incriminating me, unless she knows something about the law I don't! Dreading the school run this morning and the abuse. I have my friend meeting me so I don't have to do it on my own. She clearly isn't bothered about speaking to me in front of the kids. Thanks everyone for your responses

Hi, I just wanted to update you on the situation. The head has been fabulous and spoken to everyone who witnessed the incident etc. She has advised me she has informed her and her little friend that should this behaviour be repeated, she will most definitely will take further action and they have been issued a warning from the school: I noted that there was a pcso outside the school today and this is not 'normal'.
I have reported the incident to the police too and it has been logged. The head has said that anything that happened was between myself and her and if there is anything else that is concerning me, I shouldn't hesitate to contact her. She hasn't mentioned anything to do with the police or her giving a statement etc, so I am hoping that the school aren't backing these claims. A witness has advised me that the head did ask about the threat of the police and said she doesn't have any idea what it was about and it is all between us and nothing to do with the school at all. Here's hoping that this is the silly incident put to bed. I have sent a copy of the emails between myself and the head to the solicitor and he high doubts that anything will be done and that I should breathe, relax and move on with my life. Thank you everyone for all of your advice and I am really hoping that I won't need to post on this thread again. What you do is amazing and I truly cannot thank you enough!!!!! Xxxxxx

I think the solicitor is right, the woman and her " friend" would be foolish to carry this on now.

                Good luck!!

                  Update!!!
My name has been cleared because the police have advised that there is no evidence whatsoever. They have spoken to this ex friend of mine and whilst I don't know what was said, she doesn't have any evidence whatsoever with regards to my 'wrongdoings' because there never was any! Anyways the head has apologised to me and has said she never for one moment suspected I had done anything other than human error however, she had to follow the advice she was given and thinks she acted too hastily trying to cover her own back bascially.
Today my sister did the school run with me and the 'bully' ran when she saw me enter the playground with someone else. Nothing was said to her at all, my sister didn't even know any of this was going on! However, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all! You have all helped me during this struggle! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart
