Good evening,

I am new to all this...very worried about a debt...and havent got a clue what to do...if I post details would it be possible for someone to advise ?

Welcome to legal beagles. There are plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people here. However to really help you we need to know more about the debt .
What type of debt id it .?
Creditd card, personal loan , catalogue, Hire purchase, Mortgage.
How much is it for
Who is the original lender
State of the Debt, are you struggling to pay, had the account defaulted, is it still with the original creditor or has it been sold.
When did you last make a payment Have been threatened with legal procedeinfgs or had a judgement against you ?

Dear Mr Gardner,

Further to our discussion I can confirm that 1st Credit Finance were regulated by the FCA on our Interim Permissions Register under license number 514938.

However since 30/09/2015 the permissions have now lapsed meaning they are no longer authorized to trade. Please find the link to our register below for confirmation of this.

Yes it's correct but as I tried to explain the Principal Company 1st Credit Ltd is fully licenced,
thus so are all it's " trading Styles.
The other companies can be " authorised representatives" of their principal

There's been a considerable number of reorganisations with in the major players in the uk
debt " industry" ( simplifying licences) needed.
What the FCA does not make clear is that the now unlicensed company is now acting
as an authorised rep, of the principal.

The various numbered e.g. 1st Credit Finance 5 etc. are just the various debt portfolios owned
by the principal.

Just forget the FCA interim permissions this won't help your case.
