I knew I'd find something about BACs somewhere.
As far as I know this is the system used for most government payments (but open to correction as always!)

:santa_wink: My payment of ESA went in overnight xmas eve/day - Could not blessed belive it myself, But i bank with NATWEST and the payment was dated 29th but was available this morning....I hope everybody else recieved thier moneys too (NATWEST & RBS) would of most definatly recieved it xmas day because i did as advised by the Natwest online adviser....
Thank you The Queen for establishing a lovely Empire & merry xmas to the family, hope the Empire lives forever lol....

Hi my ESA was due in yesterday 28th but it was a bank holiday I've checked this morning and it's still not there?

Are you sure it didn't go in on the 23rd ? ( According to the DWP payments that are usually paid on the 28th would be paid on the 23rd - '' between 23 and 28 December will be paid on 23 December 2015''

If not then I'd suggest giving them a call if it's not in by close of play today. Or possibly speak to your bank as ESA appears ( from reading other peoples posts ) to still be affected by clearing times so if it was sent to your bank on the 23rd it may still be stuck in clearing.

Hi amethyst thanks for your response I've just checked my bank for the 23rd it's definitely not there checked a few days before to and it's 100% not there.

You'll need to ring them to ask ... they can often do an emergency payment if it's not gone in xx
