  • eviction order not signed

A friend has been served with an eviction notice. I looked at all the paperwork and non of it's signed. From my understand all court orders need to have the court seal on and the signature of the person who is authorizing the order. Contact the court and they would not say who authored the order. I know the court system is very corrupt now and have no trust in them at all. Can someone tell me if my understanding is correct ?

Is it a N54 ? Have a look at Shelter for some help http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_ad...on_by_bailiffs and get your friend to get in touch with them. A N54 doesn't just appear there are processes before it gets to that stage.

Got a message that i should say hello to everyone before I start. There was a process, but there are no signatures on the documents.

        hello xx

N54 is a court issued document, they don't usually carry a signature but should have a stamp. If you called the named court and they had details of the claim and the eviction notice then you can take it as genuine.

Is your friend unaware of who has made the claim ? and have they engaged with the process to date ? They need to file a N244 to put the eviction on hold if they are appealing it, but speaking with Citizens Advice or Shelter is really a must to get help in stopping this.
