Re: 2 ccj's for same debt

Are you telling me you have paid off both CCJ for the same debt inclucing both court and solicitor costs, and interest??

      I need to be sure

Is this two CCJ or are lowell just collecting for the first CCJ??

What does your credit file say

Is there definitely two lIstingS (CCJ) from both santandar and Lowell??

Can you cut and paste the two CCJ entries on your credit file onto your thread??

Re: 2 ccj's for same debt

The first ccj is for £ 775.79 it is the original amount owed of £ 650.79 plus £ 55 court fee and £ 70 costs. Their is no interest added to this debt. This ccj remains unpaid. I have the case number 3XY0920 and it is recorded on the credit file on 15/04/2013. This is from Santander

The second ccj is for £ 828.39 it is again for the original amount £ 650.79 plus £47.60 interest, £ 60 court fee and £ 70 costs. This ccj has been paid in full. The case number is B5DP60G6 recorded on the credit file 02/07/2015. This is from Lowell.

Both these cases were at Northampton count court.

I have the original forms from the court for both ccj's and I have noticed a discrepancy, The original account reference numbers differ in one digit. The Santander ref number ends in 10 but the Lowell ref number ends in 15 all the rest being the same. Do you think this is just a mistake typing or could it be to hide the fact this is the same debt ?.

I greatly appreciate your help thanks

I suspect the problem arises from an improperly supervised trainee paralegal trusted with filling in claim forms which are not checked before submitting.

Ithink you should send a formal complaint in regard to the 2nd CCJ/Claim stating clearly that the debt has been paid in full and the claimant should apply for the judgement to be struck out and they should pay all costs of the application.

Lowell now has an in house "solicitors " in it's head office" it's " legal counsel" Is Ms Sara de Tute I would send her all the details as said in a formal complaint.

Have you rung Lowell yet ? Send them the evidence of the first judgment and CCJ with Santander and tell them you will be applying to set their judgment aside unless they want to apply themselves to save costs.

I don't thin it is anything underhand etc either btw. Just a typo when sending out the list of assigned debts from Santander - so if anyones fauly it'll be Santander's or Newday's.
