Re: Payday lenders past their sell by date!

Just an update guys. I have challenged another lender Quidmarket who have agreed to write off my loan of £343 today. And will show on my credit file as settled. That makes 3 now written off. I have 3 more I am dealing with. I think because these companies don't make proper credit and affordability checks you can challenge them.the others are Quickquid and Myjar. And Paydayuk..has anyone had to deal with these?

I think some of it will depend on when you took the loans out. Myjar are txt loan under a new name and haven't chased me and haven't been paid. Quick quid were totally tossers and sold my debt to McKenzie hall. Sadly for MH I have an email from QQ saying my balance was zero and they could confirm my account had not been assigned
PDUK was a while ago and I took my complaint to the fos , they agreed to possibly write it off but I never contacted them again

Good news is I have now managed to negotiate with 4 payday lenders and get 3 written off and Myjar FFS £50. I have asked my credit file to show as settled. I still have 3 more but confident I can get these sorted out. Will this help my credit file, ? My IVA finishes in 8 months so fingers crossed on that too.

Re: Payday lenders past their sell by date!

Its great that they are being forced to make up for their mistakes, no doubt why mini credit went out of business to avoid having to cough up.
I am just looking at it from my point of view, each one has outstanding balances so I am happy to leave them to go SB. Only one , 247 moneybox sends me an email every 4 days like clockwork which gets deleted as it arrives .
I am also aware that not everybody was entirely truthful on their application forms and would hate to find someone on the wrong end of a police investigation. Mini credit accused me of fraud because I said I was on benefits and not unemployed, as I was on ESA I was on benefits and not looking for work

To be honest most people who apply for any form of credit be it mortgages etc always inflate salaries etc. the police simply would not be interested in chasing this type of alleged fraud. The lenders deserve what they get. I was wrong to take out the loans but the more I heard about horror stories of people's bank account being raided and emptied made me feel less guilty. These lenders acted irresponsibly too leaving many people destitute. I am pleased so far to have had £700 written off to date. One of my loans was actually added to my IVA which was £1,300 that was 2 year ago. My IVA finishes after 8 more monthly payments.
