    Good morning everyone,

My name is Matt and I'm based in South East Wales. I work in the field of HR. I specialise in workplace training but I have a working knowledge of employment law, and a detailed functional knowledge of the post-compulsory education system.

I look forward to contributing to the forum.

    Regards,

    Matt

PS - I haven't worked out how to add a signature.

    Good morning

Employment law is such a minefield, it's always good to have one more contributor.

From the menu on the top right hand corner, click on Settings. Once you are in your settings, the third box down on the left is My Settings. Under the first subheading (My Profile) you'll find Edit Signature. You can just create one in the box, preview and save. :nerd:

Hi Matt welcome to the forum. Im a newbie hear as well. Can I be really cheeky and ask a question as you have HR experience. at present im on the sick after having a hernia opp. I have been rang several times by my boss asking when I am going to return to work. Have told them am un able to return till my sick note has run out due to being advised not to by my specialist as need time to heal. Have been threatened with occupational health 3 weeks after my opp and have been told that they will be sending me there to see if im fit for work. Can they treaten me with occupational health when im on the sick even though I have kept them in the loop all the way with what is happening and they new when I was going into hospital for my opp. they have asked for my docs name which I told them but can they send me for medicals when im on the sick.
