“Somebody must have made a false accusation against Josef K, for he was arrested one morning without having done anything wrong.”
Thus I began my book The Trial (Der Prozess), a prophetic novel that anticipates the insanity of modern bureaucracy and the coming of totalitarianism.
I hope that Legal Beagles will provide me with an escape route from totalitarian bureaucracy, in my eternal quest for the woman with eyes that know the darkness in my soul.
It has been said that I am a novelist who never quite means what he seems to be saying: that my work offers everything yet confirms nothing. I write differently from the way I speak, I speak differently from the way I think, I think differently from the way I should think - and so it goes on into the darkest depths of infinity.
I live in hope that my posts will be clear to members and send greetings from the streets of Prague.
