Thanks for the introduction EXC. Looking forward to contributing if I can and being with people who are clearly passionate - as opposed to some others who are clearly not any more.

    Regards

    Mac

          Welcome Halimac

I'm delighted to see you joining our forum.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

                Re: Welome Halimac

A quick summary of my situation for anyone that's interested (I will of course start separate threads were appropriate):

Claims - two currently, both Halifax. One a current account, opened in 1987, the other a credit card account, opened in 1992. It took me nearly eight months, but through threat of a Pre Action Disclosure hearing (using form N244), and pressure brought to bear by the Information Commissioner's Office; they eventually provided all statements.

Process - Exhausted in both cases. On the current account, HFX have basically ignored my Request For Payment & LBA and the time has come to file. Currently preparing my POC and bundles. Case will not be straightforward as I am claiming compound interest (with S. 69 in the alternative) and of course the fact that it runs well beyond six years. Value just under £10,000.

On the card account, the claim is again asking for compound interest and goes beyond 6 years. HFX have however this week sent me a rather pathetic offer letter, promising me the princely sum of £121 (10% of the claim value), to go away. Naturally this is being , er, respectfully declined! Again, POC and bundles being researched and prepared.

So it's off to court we go!

Longer term, I'd also like to get myself a parachute account and go for A&L too !

                Regards
                Mac
