Give him his due - he's the only bailiff I know who makes two visits and doesn't charge anything at all. He must have been ill for their training minute.

That will be because they're scanning his head.

As some bailiffs express a gene also found in Diplodocus, they should look for the pseudo-cerebral ischial ganglion.

The Black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common (hence the accusation of being Pleb) long-tailed rodent of the genus Rattus (rats) in the subfamily Murinae (murine rodents). The species originated in tropical Asia and spread through the Near East in Roman times (another thing that we ought to thanks the Romans for, besides roads, aqueducts and public toilets) before reaching Europe by the 1st century and spreading with Europeans across the world.

A mutation of the beast now comes black leather clad, riding a motorcycle that looks like a battenbergh cake on wheels.

A skilled predator, totally ruthless with it's prey, but also known to be extremely generous in doling out tickes that can provide points for motorists who want to downsize from mechanically propelled vehicles to bycicles.

It's a dirty job, but someone got to do it!

The poisoned pens are always at the ready just in case. I was surprised to see your return, and while it might be interesting to have another bailiff on the forum, you'll be judged, as everyone, by your actions and responses.

What do you think of the new bits released last week governing your job (or to govern your job)?

To be honest I do not know what I want, just curious about some of the experiences that some members of this forum have experienced at the hand of some of my colleagues.

Maybe offer a word of advice to those who feel have been victimized by bailiffs actions.

Also to try to understand why there is such a general resentment about debt collectors; I would like to believe that a decent person wold not agree with willful avoidance of debt and ask what would be the alternative measures they would adopt to recover money owed.

Let's say that I am on a fact finding quest.

Most people hate debt collectors and history has taught us that they are not a well liked profession. However, in the recent past, consumer knowledge has been heightened and so the good and lawful debt collectors are lumped in with the worst debt collectors who fail to follow protocols and legality. I doubt anyone here suggests willful avoidance of debt. If a debt is statute barred then it is statute barred and therefore unenforceable in law. If firms had a reputation for a good dialogue with customers then that would help in the recovery of money and rather than charging and therefore increasing debt, merely charged interest on the sum which would be repayable.
