    Re: Another refugee

Thanks everybody for your good wishes and good humour.

The Hamlet connection wasn't that subtle was it (well spotted Charity and Bill-K) but it amused me. I like CC's pun though!

And if he replied in either english or french that would prove what? Only that he understood english or french.

If he doesnt speak French then he most likely doesnt live in Paris, or anywhere else in France for that matter. Its very hard to get around in France in English. He wouldnt need to be on the electoral roll if he is living in Paris, he would vote by proxy as UK expats do.

He does. But it's pointless writing to him because he's so remarkably arrogant he wouldn't give a damn.

So if I posted in french and he replied in english, somehow that is supposed to prove that not only he doesn't speak french, but can't possibly live in Paris. The logic defies belief!!

Send him some fresh fish by post.

If he resides in Paris and has his mail forwarded, the fish should be nicely rotten by the time he gets it.

Indeedy. Send him the fish. Expect no reply - but savour the anticipation thereof...

                            HI

I to remermber you from CAG, I am sure you would remember me also.

It is very annoying when the Forum will not discuss any dissagreement with you.
Easier to just ban the person and hope the problem will go away, there is no credit or allowance given for any previous contributions to the site nor any consideration for common courtessy.
                            Wouldnt happen here of course.

I think you miss the point. I dont know this guy, but Im puzzled why he would want to say he lives in paris when he remains on the electoral roll in the UK. The logic here you can still write a letter to him, even if he has moved, it can be forwarded.

To be honest, shafting a mod is nothing new on CAG, it has created too many foes for itself to the detriment of its own cause. Just a few minutes ago, I looked on CAG for the first time in several week and I saw this

                              http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk...-Viewing)-nbsp

A poster who was late paying a court fine and received a letter saying he must pay £300 in fees.

This has a practical solution which would solve his problem and it could have been posted in reply, so far that has not been forthcoming.

Afraid I can't identify with the CAG humour though as I have only a few posts on CAG -my origins are a friendly PCF site
