Achmed - back in #3 you said you would "reply to any question" but you continually refuse to do so.

You have been asked by PallasAthena and myself to demonstrate where the "duty to remove illegal devices" comes from but you seem unable to answer.

If, for example, somebody asked me where the right of a consumer to cancel a "distance contract" came from, I would refer tthem to the relevant legislation, which is contained in para 29 of The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (legislation.gov.uk).

Can you likewise direct us to the relevant piece of UK legislation which imposes this duty to remove illegal devices on Trading Standards (assuming that is whom you are talking about).

If it's an EU directive you are talking about, tell us which one. My understanding is that when we were part of the EU, EU directives were only implemented in the UK insofar as UK legislation implemented the directive in question. (Indeed the regulations I linked to above are an example of this). But I'm not certain that all EU directives were in fact implemented in the UK.

So where does this duty to remove illegal devices come from?

You've also been asked twice who this "MS" you keep referring is but agin you fail to answer.

        Who are they?

You come here asking for advice but are reluctant to answer simple questions to allow people to help you...
