  • Parking charge FirstParkingLLC with valid permit

    Hi everyone
I received a parking charge notice from First Parking LLC on 27/11/23 for parking in a car park near my apartment and 'not paying for the full duration of the stay'. This car park has a resident car park underneath it with a separate entrance next door to the pay and display entrance. I have a valid resident parking permit for this car park, and this was the car park I parked in on the date that I am supposedly being charged for. I know that this fine is not valid since I have a valid permit for the car park I was in - the photo of me entering the car park states at the top of the photo that this was the residents entrance which I have a permit for.
I ignored this fine and the date to appeal it has passed. Today I received a notice of debt recovery from DCB Ltd. My question is, do I need to do anything now? Can I ignore this too? Or should I phone DCB or First Parking LLC to discuss this with either of them? Never had an issue like this before so unsure what to do!
    Thanks

Firstly do not phone them but keep all communications in writing
Secondly when writing to them do not identify the driver,; just say "the driver did this , that or the other"!
Thirdly can you post up a copy of the original parking charge and the letter from DCB Ltd?
When we have seen those we can advise your next step

letters from DCB Ltd aren't to worry about as they are only debt collectors.
Letters from DCB Legal are a slightly different matter as they are solicitors and one step away from a court claim

Hi - unfortunately I did phone them this morning and explained the situation, they said I was unable to appeal so I informed them that I didn't intend to pay it and was advised by them to seek legal advice following this.
I can't attach any photos of the letters because the files are too big to be attached?
      Thanks

So upload the documents to a hosting site such as IMGUR and post a link here.
Also photos of the signage might be helpful
