Today I have received a letter from the county court business centre, on behalf of Lowell which are acting on behalf of npower.
this is from a previous property that I lived in (private rented) the landlord refused to fix the boiler/thermostat I have proof of the local council where they had to issue him with warnings and also give him a very long period of time to fix it (for legal reasons) which he never. in the end they issued him with a legal notice so they could gained access and the local council fixed it, but in the meantime of this I contacted npower and explained that I couldn’t turn my gas off I couldn’t turn the thermostat down and that the landlord was refusing to repair anything in the house but I still had to pay £600 a month otherwise I would legally be making me and my children homeless.
Also if I turned the water on the boiler kicked in but water wasn’t getting hot, also there was a lot more issues with the property in fact it made the local news it was that bad.
so with the boiler being stuck on the gas bill was getting really high I rang and rang to explain this to npower also I had Sheleter involved with this issue and the house and they tried to contact npower on my behalf and they just stopped answering to us, in the end I rang npower to say I had moved gave them my new address they never contacted me so thought it was sorted.
the date I lived in the property was August 2016/April 2017
now I have been sent a claim form from the county court on behalf of Lowell portfolio LTD not sure what I should do
really worried please can anyone help me thanks
