Does a property charge given to a debtor on residential property still stand as repayable after 12 years or more. We were awarded a case and compensation by the courts yet were unable to get the debtor pay. Whilst he kept his property. He is now trying to offer some ridiculous settlement whilst stating has no obligation to do so.
    Does anyone know the position.*

The charge remains on the property until it is sold or removed by the person/company who placed it there.

If he wants to sell his house and needs all the equity in it that might be why he's suddenly surfaced to make his offer.

I'd simply go back to inform him the charge remains on the property, if he pays the judgement in full it will be removed or when his property is sold the judgement will be recovered via the charge on his property.
