Hi, I'm having trouble with the company above. They've knocked hell out of my door now for the last 2 days running. It's for an old utility debt. They are acting as their agent. Anything I can do to get them to back off so I can sort it with the original creditors?*

If it is the latter, simply write to them and tell them that they have trespassed onto private property, that you revoke any right to access said private property they may perceive they have.
Inform them that should they trespass on your property again you may commence legal proceedings against them without further notice to them for this and harassment contrary to the Protection From Harassment Act 1997, as the ought to know from this letter that any further trespass would cause you alarm and distress.
Instruct them that should they wise to communicate with you that they should do so in writing.
I'd go back to the energy company first though and see what they say about dealing with them directly. Once it's with a collections firm some companies will not deal with it anymore and refer you to the collector.COMPLETING AN N180 DIRECTIONS QUESTIONNAIRE (SMALL CLAIMS TRACK) GUIDE
