  • Not getting paid

I was previously with a modelling agency in London. I was meant to get paid for a job which I did in June 2019 and the payment due date was 6th December 2019. It's been more than a month now since the payment is due but my agency has been selectively replying to my emails when I chase them for my money. I've also found out that the other model on the same shoot but from a different agency has already gotten paid. When emailing my former agency asking for any form of proof that they've been in contact with the client, they choose to ignore my emails. Now I want to take them to a tribunal hearing but am not sure if that's the best idea as I'm not in the UK anymore.*

Can anyone please suggest the best way to resolve this? Or is there a way to go to a tribunal hearing without having to be present in the court?

    Thank you!

Were you employed by the Modelling Agency or self employed and the agency acted for you?
Is a six month payment period normal ?
Anything in writing regarding the agreed amount you were to be paid for the job and date by which payment was due?

      Thank you for your reply.

I think I'd be self-employed and the agency acted for me. Where there is a contract with the agency and I'd be sent to do work for the agency's client.*
It's normal for my agency as in my contract it stated that payment can take up to 90 workings days.

They've given me an invoice for what they owe me and in an email saying my payment won't be affected since now I've left the agency and UK. But since I've been constantly ignored and only get blunt responses from them this past month, I am considering to take further action if things has not progress by next week.

My only concern is me being outside the country.
