                Because if it's supposed to be a parking charge they have to send a notice to driver in the post within14 days.

                  Nope, sorry i disagree.

                  Firstly, if no notice to driver was left on the vehicle, then the creditor would have to fall back on keeper liability unless they know the identity of the driver.

                  Under the POFA 2012 they would have to send the notice to keeper within 14 days yes, but you havent as yet established the OP was the registered keeper, it may be they were the driver but not the keeper. A point that needs consideration nonetheless.

                      Sadly due to the work i do, i never assume anything because it can bite you on the butt when you least expect it.
