  • Allay PPI - can anyone help me please

Hi, We have sorted our PPI claims through a very good company and all sorted. I then receive an e mail for Allay saying that they are still waiting to hear about our PPI to the same lenders so I politely told them thanks but we are now finished. They replied saying that my husband had signed a LOA online (could be anyone's signature) and that Allay had been e mailing us. This is true but it was an e mail that we don't really check. We never physically put pen to paper on any other paperwork. We had a few e mail exchanges due to our shock at all of this - and then we cancelled as we didn't want them to proceed. They have sent us a bill for £1260 for doing frankly nothing except contacting the lenders. Can anyone advise me where I stand? They have charged for contacting them on every single claim despite it was one e mail about all of them. It's very stressful and I feel that we need legal help. Does an electronic LOA act as an official signature? Thanks

In fact they are trying to charge £2600 because of e mailing and automated e mails.

Does the signature look anything like your / your husbands actual signature?

Do you still have the emails they sent you? Can you see the first couple they sent - and do they include any terms, cancellation, copy of the alleged LOA etc ?
