Hi new to this basically I did some terrible shit and stole from primark on more than one account and yesterday I got caught they didn't say anything about anything before just told me to go to the back room and searched my bag and looked through my phone I was panicking so afterwards I was like he ain't allowed to do it but I didn't pay attention they didn't take a picture or anything he just asked me for id I didn't have any only my bank card and then he found a letter with my address on and name so he asked me to open the letter I did and I lied and said my letters come on my friends address cos I gave an old address the manager crossed it out and put the one on the letter he found he asked how old. I was I said 20 and he said your an adult so he said you will get a letter in the post for a fine I told my mum I was shit scared but I didn't have a choice and told her anyways Iv been worried scared so they check cctv again no police were involved they could have called the police because I didn't have id but didn't he banned me from going back in. Now I'm worried cos I have read that if they check cctv previously I may be in more trouble or get a letter from the court and also people are saying they can caught u after the act i am so worried waiting on that letter but I'm on edge all the time and I keep thinking imma be in worse shit or have I got away with it cos by now they would have sent me a letter as I stole other items a few months ago and some were recent so how long does cctv go back and last and does primark have different security everyday they might not bother cos some were early morning some were 4 or 5 ish time so can anyone help I also heard that if good go missing they may go back and check cctv the stuff I took they don't have no more most of it was sold out. And I'm worried what if they use social media and post my picture there I'm scared asf please help

Stop stealing crap from Primark, completely pointless and makes you feel like shit but theres worse things you could have done in life, so don't let this get to you too much. Don't do it again, obviously.It shouldn't have any long lasting consequences as the Police weren't called. Of course you will have to live with the worry that they might hook up this incident to previous ones via the CCTV - I'd suggest just staying away from the place in future.

You'll receive some intimidating nasty letters from a private company which you can ignore. If you hear directly from Primark or the Police though do let us know.

Thanks for the reply I only told my mum I did it once I'm living on edge yh I did wrong but I have heard the cctv only lasts 30 days and that's it and u cant go back the security cba as I wasted their time he kept on saying go and were straight to the point I'm just worried if they do check the cctv wat will they do next most stuff I took they no longer have in store

Who knows what setup Primark have on their CCTV... they might archive it all, or for a year, or for a month..... If you got caught again and they recognised you they might feel more inclined to check back though and they are far more likely to refer you to the police as a repeat offender ( they now have a record of you so will know straight away ) and you'll then likely face criminal charges.

Its very unlikely you'll see the Police for this incident ( or previous ones) but really

stop doing it

or something WILL happen and a few bits from Primark (or anywhere else) are not worth mucking up your life over xxxx

Thanks I'm very scared and I'm on edge and I can't concentrate on my uni work I mean they didn't mention anything previously to this but still I'm worried about it I did it once in another store but nothing happened to me thank god its been two years now I'm just scared and worried like mad say for eg they do check cctv now and knows its me woudk they do anything since they have already dealt with me
