  • Online holiday booking

Hello. I reserved a holiday with a hotel earlier this year. I did not confirm the booking and did not go on the holiday. The hotel has taken full payment based on the credit card reservation. I can't get a response from the hotel. What recourse do I have?

Based on what you've said, nothing.

You made a reservation, failed to inform the hotel you weren't going so they ought to be paid the cost of what you reserved.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Did you book direct with the hotel or through a booking website ?

When you say you reserved but did not confirm what do you mean ?

And in any event the hotel are only entitled to their losses eg they should make an allowance for not having incurred laundry and cleaning costs, food etc
