Financial claims from Mobile phone Company

Hello to All. A few weeks ago I was contacted by a well known phone company.They say I owe them money for an account I do not have,for a handset & sim I do not have.I have no knowledge of any contract. I have now received a letter from a debt recovery specialist - relating to the phone operators claim. I responded to the phone company by email but they will not correspond by email. What should I do ? Thanks.

Write to them, hard copy, ask them for details of the alleged account specifically and also to provide copies of all data held about you as entitled under GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018.

Does anything show on your credit file at all?

Phone company have now provided details of an acount I have no knowledge of, A phone & sim I have no knowledge of. A 2nd Debt recovery agency has now written to me - chasing £500 +, these people are adamant I have had an account for @ 11 months - which i have stopped paying ! No GDPR info has been provided. I am becoming very worried about the Debt recovery, I have not received any further contact from the 1st Debt people. I dont want to contact any of them unless I am clear on what to do ? Any further thoughts / options on this please ? Thank you.
