  • Two Buildings on my property how do HMO Rules apply.

I've already raised this in the housing part of the forum but not had any response which is unusual.
As my regular readers Know I have a house in multiple occupation. However there are two buildings on the property. Between the two buildings there are more than 5 people but niether building has more than 4 people.

Presumably the 4 people living in each building are not a family unit etc but individuals ?

Are the two buildings actually separate properties ? Council tax for each for example ? Or is it like a house and an annex building ?

Have you checked with your local council whether you require a HMO licence ?

It's myself my wife and two lodgers in the main house and two people in the annexe. The problem is that they won't answer questions without getting a name and address. I've had a lot of problems with the council.
